Houston Dynamo came alive offensively demolishing Orlando City SC in a 4-0 win against the Florida club at BBVA Compass Stadium on Saturday night.

The win sees Houston Dynamo remain undefeated at home this season as they dominated this match, particularly in the second half. It was the first ever win for Houston against Orlando as they levelled the all-time series against the club.

Houston played with a front three and all of them managed goals with Mauro Manotas managing a brace and Alberth Elis and Romell Quito joining him on the score sheet. Alex was also a key player as his two assists put him back on top of the assist leaders table.

After a tight start to the match things finally opened up in the 23rd minute of the match through Elis, after good work on the right. AJ DeLaGarza sent a pass to Elis on the right, he then beat his defender, getting inside the box and shooting past the keeper at the near post.

Orlando City was able to regather after Houston scored the opening goal but they were unable to really threaten Houston. Dynamo always maintained a strong piece of control and possession but they did have to settle for a 1-0 lead at half-time.

Six minutes in to the second half Houston Dynamo was able to double their lead by an Alex assist as he sent a low pass in to the box. That allowed Manotas to get on to the ball hitting it with his first touch past Joe Bendik.

15 minutes later Houston all but sealed the match and it was Alex again who had a big involvement as he cleared an Orlando corner. That found Quioto who used his pace to outrun the Orlando defense and then send a square low cross allowing Manotas to control and shoot, the ball hitting the back of the net after coming off the post.

The final goal came in the 79th minute as Quioto was able to get the goal that sealed the 4-0 win as a long ball found him at the wing. Quioto was able to grab the ball and then cut inside Orlando, sitting a curling effort past everyone and the keeper to make it 4-0 for the Dynamo.
