The building of Houston Dynamo’s Premier Development League (PDL) affiliate has continued as on Wednesday they announced their assistant coach and made three signings ahead of their inaugural season.
Mohamad Kallon will serve as assistant coach at Brazos Cavalry FC in their first season as a PDL club, using his development experience. Kallon currently works with the Dynamo Academy coaching the under 15 side, making him a perfect choice for development in the PDL. Kallon played for 20 years, spending time with Inter Milan and Monaco while representing his native Sierra Leone at international level, making his debut for the national side at 15.
Andy Rios will be joining the club after his freshman season at the University of New Mexico after playing club soccer with the Dynamo Academy. Rios was a highly regarded recruit and at New Mexico he will be at a strong school.
At the other side of the park is Brandon Gul, who will be a sophomore by the time the PDL season starts after a strong first year with SMU. He played 185 minutes for the Mustangs, and in his club season in 3015 he scored 31 goals in 30 games, third in the country.
Also up front is sophomore forward Dominick Falletto, who has been playing for Houston Baptist University. He managed to start 15 matches, while appearing in 19 for the Huskies in 2016 and lead freshman with four goals, he also led the whole team with five assists. Falletto also did well in the big matches which augers well for the Brazos Valley Cavalry in what will be a big season.
