San Antonio FC Playoff Math

San Antonio FC face the biggest match in club history on Saturday night as they travel down to Edinburg to take on Rio Grande Valley FC. With the club still in with a shot of the playoffs there are many permutations that could decide the clubs fate based on the results, it is not as complicated as things may seem.

Should San Antonio FC win:

This is the easiest situation, as San Antonio FC will advance to the playoffs with a win, regardless of what happens in any other matches. This would relegate RGVFC to third place, meaning the two could not play each other in the first round of the playoffs.

Should San Antonio FC draw:

This would require both Portland Timbers 2 and Orange County Blues to not win while Real Monarchs would have to win to advance. They would then play either Colorado Springs or Sacramento next week.

Should San Antonio FC lose:

The only way San Antonio FC advance is if both Portland Timbers 2 and Orange County Blues lose and Real Monarchs fail to win. That would set up a match against Colorado Springs in Colorado next week.
