UTSA are still seeking their first win after their difficult start to the 2015 season continued on Sunday afternoon. The Roadrunners did well in the first half but fell to a 4-0 defeat to Texas Christian at TCU in their seventh loss of the year.
From the opening whistle TCU went for the match as they were creating chances, four shots in the first ten minutes. But the shooting was wasteful, too often going wide, although, the Horned Frogs were spreading around the shots.
Faith Carter quickly became the main target for TCU as she got two chances away but sent both of those efforts wide of goal. In the 40th minute Carter was a part of the opener as she got a shot away from a Brittany Little cross, which was denied, only for Audrey Brook to tap it home.
The second half started well, taking just three minutes for TCU to find their second goal of the match. Allison Ganter found Kayla Hill who was able to send a nice ball through for Michelle Prokof, left with a simple tap-in to make it two.
In the 56th minute it was quickly three as Courtney Forte sent in a cross for Allison Ganter who was able to head home the goal. UTSA were starting to get back in to the match as they created more chances with Melissa Finley looking dangerous.
But the Roadrunners late efforts at goal were stopped in the 79th minute as TCU finished up the four goal win. It was thanks to Eryn Spencer who did it all on her own, create the space to hit the ball powerfully in to the top right hand corner.
